Mechanical Stress Engineer
Our client is currently on the looking for a Mechanical Stress Engineer, the role will be a long term contracting position that can be operated Outside IR35, the client will also be offering hybrid working as well as a 4 day working week with a 40 hour week available. This position will require candidates that have the ability to gain SC clearance or to pass an initial BPSS application.
Candidates will have to have experience in undertaking verification and validation activities, reviewing calculations and analysis completed by other to ensure accuracy, quality and compliance is adhered to throughout the project lifecycle. During the role you will be supporting the wider analytical activities when or where required, including seismic assessments, thermal, fluid, and operation performance analyses.
The client is looking for candidates that have had the working experience of applying relevant engineering standards and design codes, including BS 2573, BS EN 13001, structural Eurocodes and associated industry requirements. Candidates who also have experience of producing and checking hand calculation reports using both classical hand calculations and finite element analysis (FEA) are desired.
