Mechanical Engineering Manager
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineering Manager for a client based in Preston, the role will be a full time permeant position with the client offering a salary that is commensurate with experience. The client does offer hybrid working but would be looking for candidates who can be site based.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading engineering strategies, bids, tenders, costs, schedules and resource planning.
- Managing multidisciplinary engineering delivery, technical direction and assurance.
- Ensuring designs comply with engineering requirements, legislation, regulations and applicable standards.
- Overseeing engineering compliance, verification and validation, UKCA/CE marking, configuration control and technical documentation.
- Applying conventional and nuclear safety principles throughout design and delivery.
- Managing technical risks, issues, change and recovery strategies to protect cost, quality and schedule.
- Building strong relationships with clients, suppliers, SMEs and internal stakeholders.
- Driving quality, continuous improvement, learning from experience and engineering best practice.
- Developing, mentoring and coaching engineering personnel and supporting competency development.
- Ensuring environmental, health, safety and security requirements are consistently met.
