To lead and inspire the team of designers (both staff and contractors) to produce innovative designs for both plant and special purpose equipment.
These design teams cover the full life cycle of the projects from concept through to turn-key.

To produce and check the production of concept designs, scheme and the detailed drawings
Check and manage the production of technical documentation
Able to undertake the hazard analysis on designs for CDM compliance and CE Certification
Conforming to relevant legislation and standards and to end user requirements
Produce and maintain the technical filing system to adhere to Quality Assurance Standards
Ensure designs addresses operability, maintainability, constructability, manufacturability and safety requirements.
Conduct design reviews
Produce design justification reports that demonstrate the design mitigates all technical risks identified.
Produce a level of information (drawings, specifications, works instructions etc.) that enable manufacturing to take place.
Optioneering and design studies, producing reports on outcome
Undertaking the lead within bid teams.
Experienced with design of complex mechanical systems, such as:
Robotics and automation systems
Materials handling equipment
Pneumatics and hydraulics
Containment and shielding & decommissioning systems
Remotely operated systems
Proven capability to manage multi-discipline design teams to deliver engineering projects within time and budget.
Ability to present designs to internal audiences and clients.
Additional tasks maybe allocated by the engineering manager
Degree Qualified (Preferential)
Chartered Status (Preferential)
Security Cleared or the ability to be security cleared
Has the RTW in the UK
