Principal Electrical Engineer
Our client is currently looking for a Principal Electrical Engineer for their Manchester offices, the position will be a long term contract that can be worked Outside IR35, the role will be offering the opportunity for mostly remote working with the occasion visit to site or the Manchester offices for meetings. The client is offering a rate that is commensurate with your experience with the role working across various frameworks in the water industry.
Candidates will be responsible for ensuring all designs produced meet the requirements of the specification including the designs of subcontractors, keeping the design work within budget and produce the best overall outcome for the client and any end clients. The right candidate will be responsible for the following EC&I Technical input; preparation, checking and or approval of engineering documentation.
The client is looking for candidates that have a good knowledge of design working practices and installation requirements within the relevant sectors and an in depth knowledge of UK legislations and standards including WIMES. It is beneficial for candidates to have experience of CE marking of plant and equipment including ATEX, PED, low voltage directive, Machinery Directive and EMC compliance.
