Design Manager
Our client is looking for a Design Manager on a staff or contracting basis; the role will be working in the clients’ offices based in Trafford with the occasional site visitation. The client will be offering a negotiable salary / hourly rate. The contracting role can be worked Outside IR35.
The right candidate will be responsible for managing, directing and developing engineers, CAD technicians and graduates, you will also be responsible for growing the design team while leading the design process on multidisciplinary water industry projects.
The client is looking for candidates that have experience working in the engineering design industry in regulated sectors such as: Rail, Water, Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Highways, Bridges. The client will also be looking for Design Managers who have experience of BIM and 3D modelling software.
During the role you will ensure that the team produce design deliverables that satisfy safety and quality requirements and are fully integrated, you will also be responsible for ensuring that the team use appropriate standards, best practices and the correct software tools.
