Principal Mechanical Engineer (Machinery)

We are very pleased to advertise the role of Mechanical Engineer – (Principal or Senior grade) For our client based in Greater Manchester
The client has a long and well respected reputation and is seen as a world leader in their field.

We are very keen to hear from candidates who have experience in the specification of mechanical equipment and packages on UK and international petrochemical Engineering
EPC projects from FEED through to detailed design.

Specific interest would be shown to candidates who have experience of centrifugal and reciprocating hydraulic high pressure pumps, extruders and pellet handling systems and packaged equipment items such as chiller’s, lube oil skids, and large reciprocating compressors

Duties
The Chosen, Principal Mechanical Engineer would be expected to:
Develop project specifications
Prepare datasheets and requisitions
Conduct bid evaluations
Manage post order vendor doc reviews and inspections
Operational troubleshooting and site surveys on existing operational sites
Role also would involve:
As Principal Mechanical Engineer you would also be expected to act as the Lead Engineer on specific projects.
Providing technical information to support the project teams, as well as attending technical design and project reviews to ensure compliance with end user requirements and that the projects are in line with quality, health and safety regulations
Inclusion and Participation in in the development of budgets and schedules

Qualifications
Degree Qualified (Mechanical) with Chartered Status (Preferred) Or Relevant Higher National Diploma and Suitable Experience

Salary – Package
The salary will be commensurate to the experience of the candidates applying
